Our New Year's TrAin CaKe...

New Family Tradition -- According to Tyler!

This year on New Year's Eve, our kids were recovering from being sick! So we decided that it would be smart to keep them warm and at home this year.

So to make the best of a night spent at home, we broke out the train cake mold and baking basket that Aunt Lulu and Uncle Jeffie gave the kids for Christmas! It set an all time high excitement level record! It was just the right activity for our New Year's Eve at home.

Apron's on, Spatula's up... Let's do it.

Talmage on a Chocolate Cake Batter High!

Cake came out just right!

After Several Hours of decorating, and at 2 am...

We completed our train!

Tyler said, "Mom, let's do this every year!"

*Special Thanks to LuLu and Jeffie

You are too cute!! What a fun family tradition... maybe more for the kids than you- but still fun! New Years is SO overrated anyway, it's more fun to just stay home and relax I think.

You see those fabulous cake molds at the store and think to yourself "who on earth is capable of making such a pastry-picasso." I should have known :) It turned out so cute. I expect a caboos delivered to my door step asap :) mmmmmmm... train cake, delicious. Glad to see you had a happy Christmas and New Year.

Ps... Of course - Auntie Lulu and Uncle Jeffy always have the most amazing ideas and gifts... :)
