Terrible Twos Poster Child....

Will the real Blake Christensen Please Stand Up?
This little man is just a month from turning two, and sure enough, our sweet little Blake magically turned into a little MOnster --Overnight!

So we took him to dinner at Market Street Grill this last weekend -- Big Mistake. For some reason, he just had to hold all three Glass bottles of Ketchup, Tabasco Sauce, and Vinegar all at once. We have never been so bugged by those condiments on our table until this dining experience. It wouldn't be so hard if our child didn't yell out a shrieking scream every time we tried to sneak them away. He unfortunately decided to demonstrate his new 'discovery' to us on this evening, which was this: He ups the volume on that scream, and we do whatever the heck it takes to calm him down. (We of course give in to his demands in an attempt to finish our dinner and to try and allow others to finish theirs too, in peace!) Steve and I both agreed that we haven't had a Friday Date that THRILLING and adventurous in a long time.

Just this morning I caught him practicing his dramatic cry and squeal in front of the lower oven's shiny reflection! He was holding the oven handle, while shaking the oven door open and closed, and watching his dramatic performance!

Here, he is demonstrating another Two Year Old Skill -- The 'On Your Back Kick n' Scream Combo'

Here he is - The little Poster Boy Himself

Haha - I love the picture of him laying down, screaming! My Dylan was quite the fit-thrower in his day. What fun! Hang in there!

Why is it that my kids started that at month 15? No fair! We have already started the, "I'm sorry you aren't getting what you want but I am going to be in the next room until you calm down." I don't know if that is working, I just can't stand to be with them during such times!

We have had this same thing off and on and it is getting worse lately and becomes most apparent at restaurants. We are in the process of buying a video ipod that he can watch at restaurants (I know it is pathetic) to have something to divert his attention. I feel for you. We should get together sometime (or maybe not :)

haha that pictures melts my little heart. It just goes to show that at the end of every day, despite what they have destroyed, they flash that sweet smile and you remember why you're a mom again. I love your little boys and I hope talle is doing okay! We've been keeping him in our prayers! Love you Katers! xoxo

I love it. These kids are so fun when they develop their own personalities. Even when it's full of attitude. Kelby has off and on showed us serious attitude that makes us both want to laugh and get upset!
Hope all is well!

Omiheck - just laughing so hard! He looks like such an angel, but it just goes to show that even the most innocent looking kiddies can raise a ruckus! We are in the midst of the lovely "terrible threes" and I am SO over it! Lucky that Blakey is so blasted cute -- I would take him anytime - tantrums included! :) Love you guys!
