Tagged...

I have been tagged by several buddies. The rules:

A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Okay, here goes....

1. I have THE most romantic husband. I am married to every girl's dream....It is true. Since the day that he saw me in Banana Republic, he has been loving me. I love the way that he loves me! He finds the right moment in EVERY DAY to ask the question: "Will you marry me?" Even on days when I have been anything but pleasant, he will wait for the right moment to ask me to marry him. I always respond by saying, "Yes, please!" I don't think he's missed a day of asking that question since he first asked it. He really is my best friend and if I could, I would spend every minute of every day with him. If this sounds like I am bragging, I don't mean to, he is just so great and deserves some recognition!

2. I have amazing parents! Wow, Tom and Belinda are two of the greatest and funnest people I know. I admire their skills on parenting more than ever now that I am the parent! Somehow, they managed to discipline all four of their children with love and respect, and in doing so, they gained ours. It is true that I was the "Black Sheep" of the family! People laugh in disbelief when I say this, but compared to my perfectly obedient siblings, I was sometimes the rebel of the bunch. And, terrifically enough, I married into a family with amazing parents! Steve's Mom and Dad's parenting skills are admired by everyone, especially by their own kids--the ultimate success! In my opinion, my parents and Steve's parents should get together and write a book, because I just don't understand how they did such a good job--and I could use the help. I often feel like I'm not quite measuring up to the standard and the example that they have set.

3. I think I have OCD! Obsessive Compulsive Disorder! I clean my house 24/7. When I am not blogging...I am cleaning obsessively, sometimes deciding to reorganize my kitchen at 2:00 am! It isn't right. And the sad part is, no one would even know by visiting my home! Motherhood has been the ultimate test for me. Sometimes I wipe away tears on the way to church because Steve has forced our family into the car to be on time, and in doing so- shirts go untucked, hair is sometimes uncombed, and I just can't deal with that kind of sloppiness! Oh, btw...I never notice if someone else's home isn't perfect....It only pertains to my own house, my kids, etc....

4. I love holidays and being festive. I so enjoyed the festivities as a child, and now want my own children to experience that same magic that I did! So, I kind of go crazy with decor and those seasonal knick-knacks that you find when you walk in the doors of Target! My little Tyler has responded very much as I did as a child! He gets so excited with every little Halloween surprise that I add somewhere in our house. I LOVE it! And Talmage doesn't really understand why I do this, but he feeds off of Tyler's excitement and it is fun for everyone!

5. I am secretly listening to Christmas Music already. Yep, it is embarrassing. I live in a winter wonderland and it has already snowed three times! And on two of those occasions, one of which happened to be today, I turned up the Christmas Playlist while cleaning house! The kids were napping and Ty was at school. I don't want to over do it, or confuse the holidays for the kids, so I only do it in secret. Steve doesn't even know about it. It just gives me warm fuzzies and I would listen all year if I could.

6. I eat lots of candy. Yeah, I'll admit it. Steve already tells everyone so it probably is no secret. The problem is that I like the cheap hard sugar- you know, like smarties, pixie sticks, jellybeans, and my latest addiction...HOT TAMALES. I eat them all day. I always say, "I have sweet teeth." And the strangest thing about this is that my kids wont have anything to do with it. Even Tally really. Don't get me wrong he loves sweets, but with the candy- he can take it or leave it. Go figure....

List 6 buddies....Trina, Kelley, Natalie, Jenny, Miranda, Claire!

Okay- that is all for now....I only have to reveal 6 secrets! -Katie C.

Katie you are so cute! I love you - that dinner was FABULOUS and I owe ya big time! I need those recipes by the way - do you cook like that every night? You are such a good mommy/wife/friend/everything! You know I am completely OCD, and it is only worse with girls. They have to have the matching bow with the matching binky with the matching everything - it gets a little crazy! I'm going to call you and drop off your dishes and stuff - and we really do need to get together more often! Talk to you soon cute girl!

Oh yeah, I eat candy all.day.long. My favorites are Sour Punch Straws and Laffy Taffy's. Candy and Diet Coke, what more do you need?

Katie! I love this post! You are so funny! I share your "sweet teeth" disease, but am jealous because every bite shows up on my fanny... And really every bite you take shows up on my fanny too... How does that work? Darling answers... You are my favorite! I love you! Steph
